A Mix of Bad and Good

Thursday night when we got in to Vegas, we had received good news for both the kids.
Kaya who had and audition for the competition team on Wednesday with Energy Dance,
made the dance team.
They are putting together a new team for her and a few other girls, because they felt she was to young for the extreme team and to good for the prep team.
There were other girls that fell into this grey area with her.

Dylen and his friend A.J. were selected to participate on the all stars baseball team.
They started practice last night and will be on Wednesday.
They will start games Friday night and then all day Saturday until we are out.

And last Thursday before our flight left.....
We got a phone call from Scott's Uncle.
Honey had attacked Drift, Matt's dog for no reason apparently.
Drift was fine but sore.

Honey had already started to become more aggressive with strangers, even chased down the UPS man a few months ago, and she began playing rougher with the kids.
It was only a matter of time before something awful would happen with her.
We knew it was time.....
We had Scott's Uncle put her down that morning....
We chose not to tell the kids until we could be with them.

Kaya took it the hardest, which we knew she would.
But, every time Dylen looked at Kaya his burst into tears also.

She was a great dog.....but, lately she'd changed.
She wouldn't mind and she had started getting into the trash,
and chewing on Dylen's toys when she was mad.
Leaving the back yard....something she only until recently, had done if we were out with her.

Vacation 2012

This year Scott and I went back to Cabo San Lucas for vacation.
It was the first time we went without the kids.

This is the kind of thing we saw all over the city when we arrived last Thursday.
No one told us the the G2012 was meeting in Cabo and San Jose del Cabo
during the week we were there.

G2012 is the gather of the top 20 world leaders in economic development.
President Obama and his staff arrived Saturday.

The entire city was shut down Monday and we were asked not to leave the Resort.

 Sunday was Fathers Day.
This was the Macho Man Contest.

Wanted to sign Scott up but we didn't get up early enough.

Later Sunday we went into town to get groceries before we couldn't get any.
The guys thought they were getting a great deal on these till they got them out of the package......
they were mini's and not 12 oz.
Saturday Scott and Matt got really sunburned and we just hung out on the deck for two days.

We play quarters with pesos instead.......
Killing time.

With much of the tours shut down during the week we were unable to snorkel.
But we did enjoy a dinner cuise Tuesday night.
We and many others highly recommend the crew from the Cabo Escape tour.
Best night ever!

 Jumping sting ray.

A neat couple we met during the week at the resort.
Howard competed in the macho man contest and kissed Matt and Scott.

 Scott dancing to Vanilla Ice.

 The Mexican Fleet leaving Wednesday.

Late Wednesday night a storm off the coast caused the waves to crash against the walls of the resort,
we stayed up late to watch.
Would have shown you pictures but none turned out.
There was so much humidity in the air that the camera could only focus on the water in the air.
