Baseball Game #3

After playing great and winning two games,
the boys just didn't bother to play yesterday.
Boo!

None of them had any hustle, or drive!

Multiple time's they watched balls roll past them.

Dylen struck out with out even trying to swing the bat?!?
What happened to the boys drive and enjoyment?

They lost seven-ish to one.

They are a great group of kids,
but all of us (parents) were disappointed to see them not even try to play the game.

I don't know if it was just to hot, or they were all looking forward to school getting out and forgot that they still have baseball for two more weeks.

And no team is just going to hand them a win.

I hope to see them in it to win it Wed.

Mothers Day 2012

For Mothers day this year both the kids made me cards at school.
Boy were they cute!!!
Kaya was all hand made, while Dylen's was more of a poem.

Scott got me flowers and a card.
Such a sweet heart!!!

At church the kids made me more cards.
We also got to spend the day with my husbands whole family.
We had sandwiches and salads for dinner, the perfect day for it!

I let the kids go swimming also.
They've been dying to go for the last few months but the pool water has been to cold.
They were in and out all day because it still wasn't warm enough yet.
But, they got to go swimming and that's all they cared about. Hahah!

Happy Mothers Day to you all!

BASEBALL Season 4 - 2012

Our team played a scrimmage game against the football head coach's team Saturday before our first games.
Boy do both teams need to work on some things.

I will get more detailed later but the Pirates have won both games 6-5!!!

National Dance Championships 2012

Kaya and her friend Emree have been working hard all season to be prepared for their first competition.

And I wasn't sure it was ment to be.
A full week before, Kaya got sick and we weren't able to practice at all that week.
And on the Tuesday prior to the competition Kaya was
bit on her foot after dance class while playing in the back yard.

She woke up Wednesday morning with the bite more than four times the size it was the night before.

I took her into the clinic right after work and by then it had spread even more.
Sellulitous they said.
The Dr. gave her an aggressive antibiotic to help get her out.

And as you can see she woke up Friday morning with no pain and almost no swelling.

How did they do you ask?
They took first place!!!

Ahhhh! Caos!

So I noticed today my last post was in January.
Do you realize it's now April and even it's almost over?!?

I'm going to try and give you the short version of the last few months.

Kaya participated in the Bonneville Cher Camp and Preformed at a Basketball game.
It was great for her and her BFF Ari to get to spend some extra time together outside of school and church.

Dylen and his basketball team placed third in their league.
They played great.
The top two teams ended up being another Riverdale team and a Terrace team.
Dylen's football coach's team won first.
I loved watching the kids get excited for each other,
standing on the sidelines even though they weren't on the same team.

They became such good friends last fall!!!

We got the kids some science experiments that we worked on over a few different weekends.

This year, we yet again braved the crowds at Riverdale Park
and ran into some friends Easter weekend.

We also ran down to Taylorsville later that day and spent the rest
of the afternoon and evening with amazing friends!

The Easter bunny was good to the kids again!

The kids have enjoyed the sunshine!!
They did miss not having time to go snowboarding, but we told them next year.
And maybe then the snow will be better then also.

I'm ashamed to say it,
I am now one of those Mom's who has to put everything in
the calendar to keep the upcoming activities straight.

To add to all of the above Scott and I are trying to add in P90x everyday.
I have started teaching again and dancing myself.

Scott and I are now a temporary parents to an 18 year old.
Whom will be living with us until she leaves for collage in the Fall.
A very intelligent kid.
She graduated from collage last week (with her associates)
and will graduate from high school at the end of May.

Next .......
Baseball, Dance Competitions, Dance show's, Football, and Lagoon.
And a much anticipated  9 day Vacation!
