Dylen Wrestling

Dylen started wrestling again two weeks ago.
Last week he was asked to start with the Jr. High boys.
His 9 to their 12+.
He now will be going every day of the week with them.

He lost his first tournament this season.
Placing fourth against a you man, who is ranked #25 in the Nation.
Wow.

Coaches and Scott both said he did a great job with him.
They just wished he would have shown the same pizazz, in the first two matches.

Kaya Turns Six Today

My parents got Kaya a gift to go with what we got her this year.
A pretty purple helmet for ridding her new bike.
We looked all over town for bikes.
No one had a good selection in her size.
We didn't want anything to girly and something that would last her a while in her taste.
We looked at Wal-mart, Shopko, Target, and Toys R Us.
Nothing!
After spending several day's on the internet,
looking just about any where and every where in the surrounding areas,
I found this cutie at K-mart in Layton.
It was the last one in stock anywhere.

Glad I didn't procrastinate on this gift.

Love the smiles!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We started Thanksgiving morning with a 15+ Flag football game.
Our church puts one one every year for the local church campuses.

Even our younger boys got a little play time in on their own game.

Then on home we went to get showered and finish deserts for our family dinner at our In-laws house.

Disappointed

Today has me worried where we as humans are headed...

In the matter of 30 minutes, and a distance of about four miles, I received one, or should I say, many disappointments after another with people this afternoon.

Disappointment 1:
I am at work, trying to clean up lunch, and our dishwasher (NAME) tried to save time by not rinsing the dishes off.
And what does that lead to you ask?
MORE WORK!!!!!
Then he (NAME) shut down the machines early, dish washing machine included.
So what does he do with the others that were then sitting in the window you ask?
He (NAME) rinses them off and puts them away!!!!
Grrr!

(For those you who don't know where I work.
I work part time at the Riverdale Senior Center, as a cook.)

Now I can only imagine what the health department official would have had to say to that.
So, I spent 15min running around behind him gathering up these dishes and setting them aside so that we can run them in the morning.
WASTING MY TIME!!
He was in such a hurry he made us spent extra time rerunning things that with a spray would have come out nice and clean, and sanitized.
When in the end all he wanted to do is sit down and eat!!!
Really!?!

Disappointment 2
I was at the Riverdale and 900 intersection waiting to make a left hand turn onto Riverdale RD.
I was unable, due to three cars, that weren't even in the intersection, running a red light on Riverdale RD.
Everyone hurry up "ME FIRST" Syndrome yet again!

Disappointment 3
At the store running some errands for my son.
Headed to the register and end up there just before a gentleman, (if that is the word you can use on a person such as himself) in a very long line of people.
He actually snorts at me!
I say I'm sorry would you like to go first?
He says "No", in a very condescending manor.
And I shrugged it off.
So I proceed to follow the line as it makes its way to the register it self.

Help is called up front and they ask me if I would like to follow them to another register.
I decline the offer stating the man behind me could go instead.
(Seeming he was in such a hurry!)

So on my way our the door, this "gentleman" nods at me, in what I assume is an appreciative manor.
Boy was I wrong!
I was following right behind him out the door, hand full.
And what does that "GENTLEMAN" do?
Let's the door slam in my face, and everything in my hands go flying through the air landing in a big CRASH!!!
The "GENTLEMAN" turns, looks, turns back around and continues on his way.
"ME FIRST"!!

Disappointment 4
This also take part in disappointment  number five.
Driving down the road to an intersection towards 700.
A red car is ridding on my tail, and then swerves around me only to turn around and do the same thing getting back in-front of me, cutting me off and then gets in the left turn lane to try and beat the below described scene!

Disappointment 5
Headed back home, I see and acquaintance, who is a Fire chief in the Terrace, come flying past me on the other side of the road.
Full lights and sirens blaring!
Did anyone behind me pull over so he could be on his way?
NO!!!

I approached the next intersection knowing it would probably only be a few minutes before another emergency vehicle came through.

And without fail, at the 700 and Riverdale intersection, an ambulance sat patiently waiting for car, after car, after car, to get out of the way so he could turn and clear the intersection.

Moments later our big fire truck tried, and yet again the same responce....
Am I missing something?
How do you miss two giant red vehicles with lights and siren sitting in the intersection?
Are you so inconsiderat and selfish that you can't take two minutes and pull over?
If your late, you should have left five minutes sooner!!!
If that was you house or you loved one in need would you really be that selfish?!?

Rude people!
Selfish people!
It's only 3pm, I can only imagine what the rest of the day has in store for me?

What is the world coming to?

And the Holiday Season is soon upon us.
Known around here, simply as, more selfishness, unkind, absolutely abhorrent people to come!!
"ME FIRST"

When did life and people become so self centered that they can't see the needs of others.

Now don't get me wrong, I do realize there are those special few, who go out of their way to see to others needs.
Why are there so few, and dwindling by the moment?

What are we teaching our children?
