Utah to Washington

Over our anniversary this year we went to Richland, WA for our friends' wedding.
We decided to drive......
And I hate long drives!!

We had to leave the kids behind on this one.
Kaya had a dance competition and Dylen had basketball.
Some of the things we saw were amazing...

The Columbia River was so much bigger than anticipated.

A river cruise paddle boat.

The city put on a glow run along the river parkway.

And yes some of the best coffee ever.
We found at a little shop,
up the street from our hotel, called Roasters.

 The vineyards were beautiful!

On our way back to Utah we stopped at all the random places we saw on our way up.

This old farmstead was neat to see, with it's dilapidated structures.

 This is Lime, OR.
An abandoned town where a cement factory, that used to employ much of the towns people.

Some amazing gratify artists, they filled nearly every flat surface at ground level.
We did have a "Hill's Have Eye's" moment while wondering around.
This place is off the beaten path and there were no cars around for miles.

We had been there for a about an hour exploring the site,
when an old ford truck came roaring down the old road.
We kept waiting for them to stomp on the brakes, mutant people to pop out, and chase us down.
