It's the Start of June

With the start of June, baseball is in mid season, the yard is looking much better,
and the kids have had their allergies tested.
Kaya had quite a few that are severe. Dylen has many, but they are mild.
And all are under control now.

My thyroid surgery went great. I don't have cancer. Relieving to hear.
I did have half of it removed, they needed to test a larger portion.
I did have several lesions on it though, and it would have had to eventually be removed.

Day after surgery

Five days after.

And then to the Kaya.
Once again my little tuffy has been injured.
Her and Dylen were out playing baseball in the backyard.
Apparently she got to close to Dylen while he was swinging the bat.
Basically she ended up playing the part of " Batting T"

She's got eight stitches on her head.
She is doing great so far and will have them removed Saturday.
It certainly hasn't slowed her down any.
She is our little go getter.

Dylen feels miserable for hitting her in the head.
He was quite histarical of the whole situation. He did calm down after we got the bleeding slowed down and on the drive to the ER. He held her hand while she was strapped down and sewn back up. And he cried with her for a good portion of it. The nurse rewarded them both for being so strong with a Dr. Bear. And Kaya got some coloring materials to go with it.

For Kaya the worst part of the whole experience, was that she had to potty while tied down and ended up peeing her panties. After they let her up it was all she talked about the remainder of out time in the ER yesterday. She was so embarrass and angry over it. Even after cleaning her up, and getting some of Dylen dry clothing out of the car on her she was very unhappy and let us know many time through out the rest of the day.

On a good note, it was the fastest in and out of the ER we've ever had.

Me though, I'm still wondering when all this is going to be over.
I'm ready for a drama free summer. With any luck I'll get it.
But, I am always optimistic and have found some humor in some of the events of the last three months.

Kaya, no matter how many times you tell her she needs to wait and put floaty's on; she will every once in a while get into a pool with out them a try to drown herself.
She for the second time this year, and fourth of the last two, did it again.
She seems to have no fear. Not a good thing on many sides. But advantageous as she matures and uses it in life to get ahead.

And even through all of this, I need to thank my hubby for finding some humor in all this with me, and sticking by calm and collected to get us to this point today.
It certainly has been stressful for me and probably more so for him, as he's also had work to deal with in all of this.

Thanks Mom, Dad, Matt and Rachelle for helping us out in the front yard also.
